The Sculpture Explorer tests a new kind of cultural access: Gaussian splats and volumetric capture preserve surface, scale, and spatial presence more naturally than a conventional object photograph.

Make the physical place make sense online.
Represent sculpture and monuments online without reducing objects designed to be encountered in the round to a single fixed viewpoint.

Design the visit, not just the interface.
Build a scene-based 3D viewer for cultural landmarks and museum objects captured in Gettysburg, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, and Smithsonian collections, with guided viewpoints and contextual navigation.

Give every visitor a way into the story.
A 16-scene demonstration of how emerging photorealistic 3D formats can support heritage documentation, remote study, interpretation, and public discovery.
